This tutorial will take you through the steps to add your adoptable pets to our website.  Only shelters or rescues can add adoptable pets.

If you have not yet added your rescue or shelter, the tutorial to add your organization is here.

1) You can use  www.rescuegroups.org
Here's the link to signup at rescuegroups.org www.rescuegroups.org/signup

If you maintain your pets on rescuegroups.org, then your pets can be updated to many other sites that list adoptable pets. Your pets will automatically be loaded to HelpingLostPets.com.

When adding your website url to your Organization record on our website, be sure to use the same website url as you do on rescuegroups.org. Otherwise your pets will not load. See the screenshot to the right.
To set an alternate location for a pet If you would like a pet to show in a different location from your organizations main location, then you first must create an alternate location.  Choose Locations and add a new location.
Then on the pet's detail record under the heading Additional Information, choose the location for that pet.

If you use petfinder.com
You can sync your pet data from rescuegroups.org to petfinder.com.  Here's a link to obtain the sync tool http://sites.google.com/site/petfindersync/ 

2) You can enter your pets directly into our website.

You need to set the status to Available for Adoption.
