Our commitment to you

Your privacy on Helping Lost Pets (HeLP) will be respected and protected. Your information will never be sold to any other party, website, company or organization.

We partner with volunteer groups that manage your listing and they may contact you to offer assistance. None of the groups charge a fee for their service. For a complete list of our partner organizations, please visit our home page and scroll to the bottom.

You may also be contacted by shelters, vet clinics or other individuals that may have information about the pet you listed.

If you list a lost or found pet with us, you must provide at least one phone number and one email address that will be public on your poster/flyer.  This is to allow people to contact you. Your listing will be sent via email to our members in your area and in addition may be posted on many different websites by organizations and individuals recieving your listing.

You may also provide additional private phone numbers as well as your email that you sign up with that will allow shelters to contact you, if they have your pet.  You have the choice to authorize that additional contact.

When your lost pet is Back Home or the pet you have found is Reunited, we ask that you immediately change the status of the pet using this link The new status is then sent to everyone that received your orginial listing. You can also DELETE your listing and account from our system at anytime.

While we strive to ensure the information on HeLP is accurate and have built in mechanisms to ensure only real people have joined and that only real information is posted.

The accuracy and content is the sole responsibility of the member who has posted it.

We also reserve the right to remove any member, organization or content that in our opinion violates any laws, or in our opinion is offensive or inappropriate. In additon, we reserve the right and can remove any member, organization or content that in our opinion violates the following statement:

"The purpose of HeLP is to assist lost pets to get back home, homeless pets to be adopted and help pets and their guardians to enjoy a long, happy and healthy life together"

We welcome all organizations and businesses that are consistent with HeLP’s purpose, to join and create an organization record on our website. We do not accept Breeders or Lost Pet Recovery Services that charge a fee to pet owners to find their pet, as we do not have a means to screen them.

By using Helping Lost Pets (HeLP) you agree to the following terms:

1. You will not use HeLP to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory.

2. You will comply with all applicable laws in your country, region, state or province when using or accessing HeLP

3. HeLP complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). As such we require all users of HeLP to be over 13 years of age.
